Burgers move up restaurant first choice charts. More customers using restaurants are ordering burgers – which is seen a further confirmation that burger prices, and product quality, are being tiered and more mince could acquire additional value.
Yet more indications that burgers are no longer a bargain basement food item come from a survey released by on-line restaurant specialists Bookatable.
Its latest Quarterly Dining Trends report confirms that over the past year it has added 71 new burger restaurants to its portfolio while bookings by customers looking for burgers have soared
Over 2014 just 21 burger related bookings were taken compared to 30,000 in 2015 – an increase of over 143,000 per cent.
Burgers’ gain has been at the expense of Nepalese, Pakistani, Italian and Caribbean cuisine.
